define beauty!…

some may think that this is such a pageant-ish question but think about it. if you will be asked to answer this question, what would you say? fair skin, smooth hair maybe, perfectly aligned pearly whites, eyes that have a hue that’s not black, and a tall height. well, those are just few of the numerous descriptions that one might hear or give as an answer. as the cliche goes, beauty in in the eyes of the beholder. true enough, for me beauty is how we perceive a person as a whole, as a human, in and out. though the present society’s idea of what beauty is, is already influenced by what they see on print adds or what they watch in perfectly edited advertisements; there are still some that knows how to appreciate the true meaning of the word. i admire this soap company in coming up with this add. it’s a wake up call for everyone, most especially for mothers. the present generation is flooded with a lot of ways in transferring ideas and thoughts. i urge everyone to let the young people know or at least have a clear understanding on how things should be appreciated. as the quote at the end of the short clip says, “No wonder our perception of beauty is distorted.” are we going to let this go by? everyone’s born with a flaw so some end up striving to get rid of what ever it is that they think is conflicting with the idea of what real beauty is, instilling such a train of thought to the young generation won’t be of any help. so i ask you, what is beauty? let’s all come up with an answer that we can ponder on then on the long run let’s all change the definition of the word. thank you for taking your time to read this post. you are beautiful just the way you are! keep it that way.
